Child's Irish Knit Sweater

Child's Irish Knit Sweater

This is a child's Irish knit sweater. Again, this is a Phildar pattern (honestly in the 1980s at least Phildar had some superb patterns that were unique). Knit in fingering weight acrylic, what I love most about this sweater are the wooden shoulder buttons — attractive, interesting and less wear & tear on the garment neckline. I won Best in Fair for this item (large rosette on left) as well as a blue ribbon for best knit in childrens category (ribbon pinned on sleeve). I am proud of it.

During the building of this page, I removed this sweater from the cedar chest and snapped another photo, below (so it is a little wrinkly after being in storage).
